Being as Playing a Role

BA2 Collection

My muses are an extension of myself. They are obsessed by beauty and completely aware of the power it holds. They play with their apparences in order to create a visual projection of who they are. They Self-Objectify as a form of empowerment. They are “Being as Playing a Role” as would explain it Susan Sontag in Notes on Camp. They are micro-celebrities that comfortably live in Hyperreality. They reinvent themselves to the image of their desires. They become Similicras “a copy with no original, not a copy of the real, but it becomes the truth in its own right” as would describe it Jean Baudrillard. Everything they wear must correspond to this new truth. Their clothes must be a part of the fantasy that became reality.
